Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and practices
  • Ability to work regular weekday hours, no nights or weekends
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods and handle kitchen duties
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
  • Basic knife skills and grilling experience

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality meals according to a planned menu and established recipes
  • Prepare made-to-order meals with an emphasis on customer interaction and service, delivering an engaging front-of-house cooking experience that enhances guest satisfaction
  • Execute multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining top-tier food quality and presentation
  • Follow all ServSafe and health department guidelines for food handling, labeling, dating, and storage
  • Ensure all cooking, refrigeration, and serving equipment is operated and maintained properly
  • Assist in daily cleaning of kitchen equipment, prep stations, and storage areas
  • Consistently comply with cleanliness and sanitation standards, including mopping, ware washing, and waste disposal
  • Collaborate with team members and cross-train across stations to support café operations
  • Enhance meal presentation with garnishes to maximize customer satisfaction
  • Wear PPE as needed and follow all uniform requirements
  • Communicate with the Café Manager daily to stay aligned on menu plans and prep needs
  • Monitor and record food temperatures to ensure food safety
