We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Kitchen Supervisor to lead all kitchen operations at a single restaurant unit. This role is crucial in ensuring that food purchasing, preparation, and kitchen maintenance uphold the highest quality and sanitation standards. The Kitchen Supervisor will be responsible for the comprehensive management of kitchen activities, including training employees on cooking methods, portion control, plate presentation, and cleanliness. This position demands a hands-on leader who takes full ownership of the quality of all food products served, guarantees compliance with standard recipes and kitchen policies, and ensures a smooth, efficient, and sanitary kitchen operation.

The Kitchen Supervisor must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking, with at least 6 months in a supervisory or similar role. Communication skills are essential, as the individual will coordinate with managers, kitchen staff, and dining room personnel. Physical stamina is required to stand for long periods and handle tasks involving lifting and bending. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking
  • At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking

Job Duties

  • Directly responsible for all kitchen functions including food purchasing, preparation and maintenance of quality standards
  • sanitation and cleanliness
  • training of employees in methods of cooking, preparation, plate presentation, portion and cost control and sanitation and cleanliness for one restaurant unit
  • Accurately and efficiently menu items as well as prepare and portion food products prior to cooking
  • Perform other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating cooked items
  • Assume 100 percent responsibility for quality of products served
  • Know and comply consistently with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period
  • Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, kettle, flat top range and refrigeration equipment
  • Follow proper plate presentation for all dishes
  • Handle, store and rotate all products properly (FIFO)
  • Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
  • Close the kitchen properly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement
