Job Requirements

  • Ability to bend, stoop, stand, kneel and crouch more than 50 percent of the time
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds
  • Hands-on working chef position
  • Ability to speak, read and write English
  • Must be able to taste all types of food and respond to visual and aural cues
  • Verbal communication skills with employees at all times
  • 2 plus years of high-end restaurant experience
  • Culinary degree or completion of apprenticeship program preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree from an accredited school preferred
  • Completion of an apprenticeship program considered valuable
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in high-end restaurant environments
  • Excellent knife skills
  • Knowledge of food production techniques
  • Understanding of Food Service Sanitation Standards
  • Basic kitchen equipment operation skills
  • Ability to taste and evaluate food
  • Proficient in English communication

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes following established recipes and techniques
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and workstations
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively
  • Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure timely food production
  • Monitor food quality and presentation
