The Greeter position at Bass Pro Shops plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service. This part-time role involves welcoming all customers in a friendly and approachable manner, ensuring a positive first impression of the store. The Greeter is responsible for supporting the front-end team by managing customer interactions, distributing promotional materials, and handling merchandise with care. This role requires a personable, outgoing individual who embodies the company’s brand standards by adhering to dress code guidelines and maintaining a professional and friendly appearance. Additionally, the Greeter assists with customer check-ins for returns and vendor representatives, promotes special events and programs like the CLUB Membership and In-Store Pickup services, and ensures the entryway and work area are clean, safe, and inviting. Though the role does not involve direct handling of firearms, the Greeter facilitates the check-in process by notifying trained Outfitter staff members. This position demands excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently under general supervision. Job Duties
- Greets all customers as they enter the store in a friendly and outgoing manner
- actively promotes programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pickup
- models brand standards for customer service by presenting a professional image adhering to dress code
- checks in all customers' merchandise for return
- checks in vendor representatives and manages visitor log and badges
- informs customers about special events, sales, and promotions while providing promotional materials
- ensures entryway and surrounding work area remain clean, tidy, and safe
- assists in customer check-in of firearms by notifying designated staff without handling firearms
- performs all other duties as assigned
