Job Description

Great Big Game Show is a vibrant and innovative entertainment company located in the Mall of America, one of the largest and most iconic shopping and entertainment complexes in the United States. Known for its unique blend of live interactive experiences, Great Big Game Show offers guests a thrilling and engaging way to connect, compete, and have fun in a social and dynamic environment. The company prides itself on delivering world-class hospitality and exceptional service, ensuring every visitor leaves with unforgettable memories and a smile. Great Big Game Show stands out as a leader in experiential entertainment, combining elements of game shows, physical challenges, trivia, and social interaction all wrapped into one exciting package. This creates a perfect opportunity for individuals passionate about entertainment and guest engagement to join a cutting-edge team in a high-energy setting.

The role of a Great Big Game Show host is central to the company’s mission of creating a fun and memorable guest experience. Hosts act as ambassadors of hospitality who warmly welcome guests and lead them through the live game show experience. Each game show lasts approximately one hour and consists of several minigames that test contestants’ physical abilities, trivia knowledge, luck, and skill. Hosts introduce each game, keep the atmosphere lively with entertaining commentary, keep track of points scored by teams, and ultimately announce the winners. This position demands a blend of charismatic public speaking, quick thinking, and a genuine desire to make every guest’s day special.

Hosts engage groups ranging from small parties of 2 up to 14 guests, ensuring that interaction is personal and inclusive for all ages. The role also involves operational responsibilities such as resetting game components, maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of studio spaces, restocking supplies, and completing necessary reports. Hosts use specialized software and user interfaces to manage game flow and create engaging digital highlight videos of guest moments. Physical stamina is essential as hosts must be able to stand and move energetically for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform light maintenance and cleaning tasks. Employment includes a flexible schedule with frequent shifts during nights, weekends, and holidays to accommodate the fluctuating nature of entertainment business hours.

Great Big Game Show offers a supportive work environment with excellent benefits such as health insurance, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) plans with company matching, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, and employee discounts. The culture at GBGS emphasizes teamwork, creativity, and delivering a five-star experience in every interaction. If you thrive in fast-paced, guest-focused roles and love improvising fun and engaging commentary, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a cutting-edge entertainment company in the heart of Mall of America and become a part of an exciting and rewarding career path.
