The Graveyard Line Cook will be expected to disinfect and sanitize work areas properly, consistently uphold kitchen and Health Department sanitation requirements, and contribute to a safe work environment by following kitchen safety procedures and using basic cooking skills effectively. Candidates must be prepared to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime, and to tolerate working conditions that may include secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust. While the role requires a minimum education of a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of restaurant experience, bilingual abilities in English and Spanish are an asset but not mandatory. The position also requires Food Handlers Certification to comply with health regulations. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends, holidays, and variable overtime
- Must be able to tolerate secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a plus
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma and/or GED preferred
- One year restaurant experience preferred
- Food Handlers Certification
Job Duties
- Prepare menu items as directed by recipes provided by the Sous Chef and/or Executive Chef
- Ensure that the quality and presentation of food products meet company standards
- Prepare, finish, and garnish all menu items
- Practice proper food and knife handling
- Use and apply proper kitchen safety procedures and basic cooking skills
- Maintain a clean workstation during service time
- Disinfect and sanitize cutting boards and worktables
- Ensure kitchen and Health Department sanitation requirements are always maintained
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must have related kitchen tools
