As a part of the Fifth Avenue Restaurant Group, the role of Pizza Maker is exciting and essential. This is a frontline position responsible for food preparation, particularly focusing on pizzas, garlic knots, and stromboli. The Pizza Maker must be skilled in dough mixing and hand-stretching techniques, ensuring that products are prepared quickly and according to demand. The job involves maintaining high standards of food quality, appearance, and cleanliness of the work area, as well as adhering to food handling procedures and regulations rigorously. The Pizza Maker works closely with supervisors and co-workers, maintaining a professional and positive relationship to foster a productive work environment. There is a mandatory introductory period of 180 days, during which attendance and flexibility are critical, as new hires will be evaluated for performance, training needs, and overall suitability for the job. Physical demands are considerable, requiring the ability to stand, walk, lift heavy items, and operate in a fast-paced, noisy, and sometimes confined space for extended periods. This position not only requires skill and dedication but also the ability to enjoy the work and contribute to the team spirit. The Pizza Maker reports directly to the Restaurant Supervisor and operates within company policies, restaurant standards, and food/beverage regulations. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • ability to lift and move boxes, supplies, and materials weighing 25 lbs or more
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy, and sometimes limited movement environment
  • excellent attendance and punctuality
  • willingness to follow all call in procedures
  • ability to maintain sanitation and food safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food preparation or pizza making preferred
  • basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to work in a team environment
  • good communication skills
  • ability to follow instructions and company policies
  • physical ability to meet the demands of the job

Job Duties

  • be in proper dress (wear nametag, etc.) and a professional appearance at all times
  • be on time all the time
  • your attendance is essential
  • follow all call in procedures if you will be absent
  • proficient in dough mixing, hand-stretching dough and fast enough to keep up with product demand
  • produces product for restaurant including but not limited to pizzas, garlic knots, and stromboli
  • ensures proper food quality, appearance, and ensures that the work area is kept clean
  • follows and has in-depth knowledge of proper food handling procedures and regulations
  • keeps a positive professional relationship with co-workers, supervisors and guests at all times
  • notify supervisor regarding levels of food supplies, inventory and other materials as needed
  • acts in accordance with company policies, restaurant specifications and food/beverage regulations
  • reports to restaurant supervisor
