Job Requirements

  • Pursuing a master degree in sociology, social work, leadership, education, business management, or related field
  • Registered as full-time graduate student at Fayetteville State University
  • Minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.5 with requirement to maintain 3.0 cumulative GPA during graduate program
  • Must reside on campus as primary place of living
  • Availability for on-duty or on-call weekdays and weekends
  • Willingness to work during adverse weather, special events, and holidays
  • Must be available to move on campus and begin training during advertised dates

Job Qualifications

  • Pursuing a master degree in sociology, social work, leadership, education, business management, or related field
  • Registered as a full-time graduate student at Fayetteville State University
  • Must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 during graduate studies
  • Familiarity with campus community resources
  • Experience using Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Undergraduate housing or student leadership experience preferred
  • Group or team leadership skills preferred
  • Experience with learning management software systems preferred

Job Duties

  • Lead efforts to build connections with students residing in residence halls
  • Work closely with professional and administrative staff to foster a welcoming community
  • Organize and implement community-building programs and events
  • Manage room assignments and occupancy status
  • Address housekeeping and maintenance concerns
  • Assist in budget oversight including operating and programming
  • Provide customer service and make student/guest referrals
  • Act as primary contact for students and guests in designated community
  • Participate in on-duty and on-call responsibilities including during adverse weather and special events
