Loyola University Maryland, located in Baltimore, is a prestigious Jesuit Catholic university committed to academic excellence, social justice, and community engagement. Established in 1852, this comprehensive institution offers a strong residential liberal arts undergraduate program alongside professional graduate programs at the master's and doctoral levels. As one of the 27 Jesuit universities in the United States, Loyola embraces Ignatian principles that prioritize holistic education encompassing mind, body, and spirit. It has consistently been recognized among the top universities in the North region by U.S. News & World Report and highly ranked for its student experience, graduate impact, and value by reputable publications such as The Wall Street Journal and Princeton Review. The university's mission centers on preparing students to learn, lead, and serve in a diverse and changing world, reflecting its deep commitment to diversity, equity, and social justice.

The Govans Farmers Market Manager is a temporary, part-time, 10-month seasonal position under the Center for Neighborhood Resilience at Loyola University Maryland, supporting the mission-driven Govans Farmers Market located along the York Road corridor in North Baltimore. The market, entering its 15th season in 2026, offers fresh produce and serves as a vital community gathering space that connects residents to local resources and information. This position is ideal for professionals passionate about food equity, community engagement, and local economic development.

The position offers an option for a remote or hybrid work schedule from February to April, transitioning to predominantly on-site duties May through November. Pay is set at $20 per hour.

This role not only ensures smooth operational management but also acts as a vital community liaison, advancing the Center for Neighborhood Resilience's mission to foster justice along the York Road commercial corridor. The position demands strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to social justice values that align with Loyola's Jesuit identity.
