Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years culinary experience
- Associates degree preferred
- Serv-Safe certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong food safety knowledge
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work well in a team
- Good organizational skills
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
Job Qualifications
- Advanced culinary degree or associate degree preferred
- 3 to 5 years of culinary experience
- Culinary awards or accreditation preferred
- Food safety awareness
- Serv-Safe certification a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and food safety regulations
Job Duties
- Support a culture of safety including food safety, Team Member safety, and customer safety
- Learn about food and share food knowledge with Team Members and customers
- Demonstrate suggestive selling techniques and provide sampling opportunities
- Promote diversity, inclusion, and respect among Team Members, customers, vendors, and the community
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment meeting Food Safety, Food Holding, Temperature, and OSHA standards
- Manage inventories weekly in conjunction with the Kitchen Manager
- Prepare food ingredients and products efficiently
- Assist Department Manager with monthly inventory process
- Meet or exceed budgeted food cost guidelines
- Minimize product waste and follow daily production standards
- Maintain accurate department records
- Participate in catering and food production
- Monitor adherence to company policies and procedures
- Follow strict recipe and merchandising guidelines
- Participate in quarterly reviews and training sessions
