Job Requirements
- Experience and knowledge of chemical equipment and application
- Know the proper techniques of sprayer calibration
- Know the proper techniques of calibrating fertilizer spreaders large and small
- Ability to read and interpret labels
- Complete knowledge of chemical application equipment
- Current state certification or licensing as a pesticide applicator
- Ability to follow oral and written directions
- Possession of a valid driver's license
- Knowledge in the safe mechanical operation and calibration of mechanically pressurized spray equipment
- Knowledge in the safe mechanical operation and calibration of hand-operated spray equipment
- Knowledge in the safe mechanical operation and calibration of hand-operated rotary spreaders
- Knowledge in the safe mechanical operation and calibration of hand-operated drop spreaders
- Knowledge in the safe mechanical operation and calibration of utility tractors
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Performs routine safety inspections on all spraying equipment
- Maintains chemical storage and mixing areas in compliance with county, state, and federal regulations
- Responsible for safety and direction of chemical handlers and helpers
- Tracks chemical inventory
- Manages and assists the Landscape Team responsible for resort grounds and clubhouses
- Makes recommendations regarding fertilizer, pesticide, and irrigation requirements
- Understands and adheres to the club's agronomy chemical application program
- Assists in diagnosing diseases and insect damage or risks
- Recommends chemical applications for preventive and curative methods
- Performs or oversees all chemical applications, including reading labels and mixing chemicals
- Inspects and ensures all spray equipment is calibrated, operating safely, and maintained
- Maintains accurate records and reports on chemical applications and usage including Safety Data Sheets
- Maintains inventory sheets of all chemicals and fertilizers
- Assists with other ground maintenance duties as assigned
