Job Requirements

  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
  • Minimum 10 years experience in corporate aircraft maintenance
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Experience with corporate aircraft maintenance operations
  • Ability to develop and manage maintenance budgets
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Ability to coordinate with various maintenance personnel and vendors
  • Maintain safety management system responsibilities
  • Ability to conduct internal audits and ensure compliance
  • Knowledge of Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins
  • Physical fitness and commitment to drug and alcohol abstinence
  • Recent Bombardier Global 6500 experience
  • Residency within 1 hour of KOPF airport or willingness to relocate

Job Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
  • Minimum 10 years experience in corporate aircraft maintenance operations
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the Code of Federal Regulations and aircraft maintenance standards
  • Proficient with planning, implementation, and direction of maintenance programs and control systems
  • Highly motivated and committed to safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence
  • Remains fit for duty and abstains from drug and alcohol abuse
  • Recent experience with Bombardier Global 6500 within the past 24 months
  • Must be located or willing to relocate within 1 hour of KOPF airport

Job Duties

  • Maintain a valid Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
  • Lead all maintenance activities of assigned aircraft, implementing maintenance standards, methods, and procedures to ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, manufacturer recommendations, and company policies
  • Coordinate maintenance training requirements with the Director of Maintenance and/or Client Aviation Manager
  • Develop a budget outlining and projecting financial expenses related to aircraft maintenance, parts, labor, tooling, equipment, and base facilities
  • Supervise and approve expenditures related to assigned aircraft
  • Participate in Safety Management Systems and assume duties delegated by the Director of Maintenance, Manager of Maintenance Operations, and Client Aviation Manager
  • Supervise aircraft maintenance personnel, including company employees and non-company personnel, ensuring quality and completeness of maintenance
  • Coordinate with non-company personnel or Approved Maintenance Organizations performing maintenance, conduct vendor evaluations
  • Ensure complete and accurate records of all inspections, repairs, component changes, airframe and engine flight times, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and FAA maintenance instructions
  • Ensure compliance with Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins affecting company aircraft
  • Remove unsafe aircraft and those non-compliant with regulations from service, and ensure airworthiness of aircraft returned to service
  • Ensure operational readiness of aircraft with minimal schedule impact
  • Serve as liaison between the company and FAA regarding all maintenance policies
  • Maintain certification and technical recency per 14 CFR 65.83
  • Perform internal audits of tool calibration and material control, ensuring availability of tools, parts, materials, and support equipment for maintenance
