The role of the Gilley Girl is integral to this vibrant environment. This position requires a multi-talented individual who can seamlessly blend the duties of a cocktail server, entertainer, and promotional ambassador. The Gilley Girl is responsible for creating an energetic and fun atmosphere on the dance floor by performing choreographed line dances onstage and around the bar area. This role not only focuses on dance performance but also on guest interaction, customer service excellence, and driving sales through unique promotional activities such as personalized shots and ticket sales for the bull riding attraction. Maintaining high standards of service while engaging guests in a lively and professional manner is essential. The Gilley Girl also plays a key role in supporting the operation of the bar by preparing and serving cocktails, maintaining cleanliness and organization, handling monetary transactions accurately, and adhering to health and safety regulations. Additionally, this role requires readiness to participate in publicity events, promotional shoots, and modeling assignments as part of the venue’s public relations efforts.

Beyond the technical skills of bartending and sales, the Gilley Girl must possess an upbeat and engaging personality, physical stamina to perform several hours of standing and dancing, and the ability to project a polished, fit, and professional image. The position demands the ability to work within a team as well as independently, adapting to a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant or bar environment. Excellent communication skills in English, the ability to memorize and learn new dance routines, and a willingness to travel for promotional activities are also important. Job Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
Ability to obtain and retain KRGC Gaming License
Available to travel within or outside the state as needed
Must have basic beverage and beverage serving knowledge
Must be able to dance as choreographed
Ability to comprehend and learn new dance routines
Good athletic physical condition/body strength
Comfortable performing in front of large audiences
Communicate effectively in English both verbally and written forms
Available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed

Job Qualifications

Audition required
Must be 18 years of age or older and have the ability to obtain and retain KRGC Gaming License
Must be available to travel within or outside the state as needed
High volume hotel/restaurant experience preferred
Must be available for publicity shoots, public appearances, modeling, other advertising, and promotional work as needed
Must have an excellent upbeat attitude with the ability to interact with people of diverse backgrounds
Must have basic beverage and beverage serving knowledge
Must be able to dance as choreographed
Ability to comprehend and learn new dance routines
Good athletic physical condition/body strength necessary
Must project a slender, toned/fit body image at all times
Must be comfortable performing in front of large audiences
Pleasing personality and ability to communicate with customers
Communicate effectively in English both verbally and written forms
Professional appearance as outlined in the Gilley's Team Member Handbook
Must be able to work both independently and as a member of a team
Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed

Job Duties

Greet each guest with a smile and a prompt and friendly greeting
Converse with guests to suggest or receive cocktail orders
Interact with guests in a pleasant, efficient and professional manner
Project curated image essential to the entertainment function of the position
Sell tickets for rides on the bull
Pour personalized shots during drink promotions
Provide exceptional service to customers while maintaining high standards of service
Order and serve food and beverage to customers following restaurant/bar guidelines
Entertain guests by dancing to themed productions
Continuously learn new choreographed moves
Prepare, order and serve cocktails to customers following restaurant/bar guidelines
Garnish drinks as appropriate
Ensure the correct glassware/stemware is used according to Beverage Department standards
Handle monetary transactions (cash, credit cards, and other payment options) in accordance with department policies and procedures
Pick up dirty glasses from assigned station ensuring optimal maintenance of station, keeping clear of beverage debris
Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar and/or workstation to ensure compliance with beverage and health department standards
Polish all necessary glassware
Prepare order to replenish stock at bar to pre-determined par levels
Workstation must be maintained and left stocked in the proper location and cleaned for next shift
Be able to perform a task that requires standing and/or moving at a fast pace for periods of up to eight hours or longer
Ensure correct health and sanitation practices are followed
Check IDs if the guest appears to be under 30
Follow Alcohol Awareness techniques as needed
Communicate with Management to keep them informed of all special requests from a guest as well as any potential problems or concerns
Answer telephone using proper telephone etiquette standards
Assist new employees with training and answering questions
Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department
Observes all activity within assigned areas offering assistance to slot players, and instruction on machine functions and payouts
Observes activity and reports anything that is out of the ordinary
Capable of handling routine customer complaints and incidents and exhibits the appropriate discretion to identify situations that require the attention of management personnel
Ensure all guests are kept in play by providing friendly and helpful service at all interactions
Utilizes open body language, politely speaks with and assists guests as needed
Assists in maintaining a spotless facility by disposing of any cups, glasses or bottles left by guests
Maintains monetary and paperwork accuracy and efficiency within department/property standards
Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner and encourages others to do the same
Empowered to resolve guest disputes quickly and efficiently up to a pre-determined amount. Otherwise, ensuring a manager is notified immediately to resolve the situation
Cross train in other F&B areas
