The position of Gift Associate Seasonal at Buc-ee's offers a dynamic opportunity to join this thriving retail environment. This seasonal role, paying $18.00 per hour, is designed to enhance the Buc-ee's customer experience by focusing on the gift and merchandise sales department. As a Gift/Merchandise Sales Associate, you will be responsible for receiving, stocking, and merchandising Buc-ee's unique gift items. You will play a key role in creating attractive visual merchandising displays that invite customers to explore and purchase gifts that will make their visit memorable.

Working as part of a dedicated team, the Gift Associate Seasonal will engage directly with guests, providing excellent customer service while maintaining the appearance and organization of the gift department. The job spans from May 1st to September 8th, giving seasonal employees the chance to contribute to a fast-paced and busy retail environment during peak travel months. This role requires a proactive attitude and the ability to work in a physically demanding setting, including standing for long periods and performing tasks such as bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

The Gift Associate is also expected to use point of sale and transaction devices efficiently, assist in pricing and merchandising products according to Buc-ee's visual standards, and communicate professionally with both customers and team members. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous retail customer service and or sales experience preferred
  • Must be able to function in a fast paced high pressure work environment
  • Must be able to stand and walk on a hard or concrete surface for long periods of time
  • Must be able to bend reach climb kneel squat reach overhead and side to side
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous retail customer service and or sales experience preferred
  • Ability to function in a fast paced high pressure work environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic math skills for pricing and transaction purposes
  • Ability to operate point of sale systems

Job Duties

  • Effectively and efficiently complete assigned tasks such as pricing merchandising and selling
  • Communicate professionally and build positive working relationships with store management and team members
  • Consistently execute the companys visual presentation through product pricing and merchandising
  • Illustrate competent use of point of sale and transaction devices for receiving and checking in of goods
  • Identify and resolve immediate customer and store needs with moderate supervision
  • Perform other duties as required and or assigned
  • Employee must be able to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
