The Grove Hotel and Block22 Companies pride themselves on upholding core values such as teamwork, respect, integrity, and passion. These guiding principles are not only reflected in the customer-facing services but also intricately woven into the ethos of the staff and management. The role of a Night Porter at The Grove Hotel is pivotal in maintaining the high standards the hotel promises its guests. The Night Porter serves as the friendly face guests see after hours, welcoming them with warmth and professionalism. This role extends beyond mere hospitality; it involves expertly handling guests' vehicles and belongings with precision, ensuring safety and satisfaction throughout their stay.
The position operates primarily during the graveyard shift from 11 PM to 7 AM, offering an opportunity for individuals who thrive in dynamic, after-hours environments. The compensation structure includes an hourly wage enhanced by tips, making it a rewarding opportunity for those passionate about guest service. The Night Porter not only supports front desk operations by handling shuttle services and errands but also plays an essential role in conveying the hotel’s offerings to guests, helping to elevate their overall experience.
This position requires strong customer service skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work flexibly, including weekends and holidays. Although previous experience is beneficial, it is not mandatory, as a willingness to learn and a genuine enjoyment of working with people are highly valued.
