The role of a General Utility Worker at Aramark is a foundational position, ideal for individuals who are self-motivated and take pride in their work. This entry-level job centers on maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across dishes, kitchen equipment, and work environments to support smooth and safe operations. General Utility Workers play a critical role in ensuring guest satisfaction by keeping all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, and utensils clean and sanitized. Additionally, they are responsible for keeping dishwashing stations and related work areas tidy and functioning properly.

Beyond cleaning duties, the General Utility Worker performs light maintenance and custodial tasks, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for guests and coworkers alike. The job requires adherence to strict safety policies, including food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring compliance with Aramark’s rigorous safety protocols. Job Requirements

  • Physical capability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing
  • Ability to wear uniforms and/or personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Basic understanding of sanitation procedures
  • Ability to follow safety procedures when handling hazardous chemicals

  • Must be able to follow basic safety procedures due to exposure to hazardous chemicals
  • Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils are cleaned and sanitized
  • Maintains dishwashing station, three compartment sink and related areas cleaned
  • Ensures equipment is clean and in working condition
  • reports any issues to management
  • Performs other light maintenance and custodial tasks
  • Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
  • Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
  • Ensures security of company assets
