As a General Utility Worker, you will take responsibility for ensuring all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized according to Aramark's strict food safety and sanitation policies. Additionally, you will maintain the dishwashing station and related areas with cleanliness and organization, ensure equipment is functioning correctly and report any maintenance issues, and perform light custodial and maintenance tasks. A key part of this role is to uphold exceptional customer service standards and maintain a positive attitude toward guests, clients, fellow team members, and others. Safety is paramount, and adherence to company policies regarding food safety, chemical handling, and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage is expected.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in food service or custodial work is an advantage but not required
  • Must be able to follow basic safety procedures due to exposure to hazardous chemicals
  • Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing for extended periods
  • Must be willing to wear uniforms and/or use personal protective equipment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils are cleaned and sanitized
  • Maintains dishwashing station, three compartment sink and related areas cleaned
  • Ensures equipment is clean and in working condition
  • Reports any issues to management
  • Performs other light maintenance and custodial tasks
  • Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers
  • Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
  • Ensures security of company assets
