The General Manager role at TPG Hotels, Resorts & Marinas is pivotal in steering the overall operation and success of each hotel property. This full-time position demands strong leadership, strategic planning, and operational expertise to attain financial objectives, uphold brand and company standards, and deliver superior guest experiences. As the primary point of management within the hotel, the General Manager directs all departmental functions, oversees recruitment and team development, and ensures that all facets of the hotel—from guest service to facility maintenance—operate seamlessly. The position also involves driving revenue through sales and marketing initiatives, maintaining regulatory compliance, and producing detailed reports for owners and corporate management that demonstrate the hotel's performance and future strategies. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management business administration or related field
  • Several years of experience in hotel management or related roles with increasing responsibilities
  • Proven history of leading hotels to success in financial performance guest satisfaction and revenue
  • Understanding of budgeting and financial management
  • Professional references from hospitality industry
  • Organized goal oriented self-motivated and energetic
  • Ability to manage financial metrics such as GOP Flow thru and NOI per key

Job Duties

  • Provide strong leadership to hotel staff, recruit train and manage department heads and staff, develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and promote teamwork
  • Ensure exceptional guest service by setting and maintaining high service standards, respond promptly and effectively to guest feedback and resolve issues, monitor guest reviews and implement improvements
  • Develop and manage the hotel’s annual budget, monitor financial performance and implement cost-saving measures, maximize revenue through pricing strategies, sales initiatives and upselling, review financial reports to make informed decisions
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to increase occupancy and revenue, identify new business opportunities and promotional activities
  • Partner with Engineering team to maintain hotel physical condition and safety standards, oversee maintenance repairs and renovations
  • Ensure compliance with local state and federal regulations, company and brand standards, stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
  • Prepare regular reports for owners or corporate management detailing financial performance operational updates and strategic plans
