We are currently seeking a reliable and energetic Delivery and Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic team. This full-time position offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant setting where you will be involved in several key areas of the operation, including operating kitchen equipment, preparing food products, handling orders via telephone, managing inventory, and ensuring the cleanliness of the facility. The role also involves the delivery of food items to customers' locations, requiring careful navigation and excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate will be someone who is quick with numbers, able to perform basic mathematical computations accurately, and possesses strong verbal and written communication skills. You will be expected to efficiently coordinate tasks between the kitchen and delivery, maintaining precision and speed throughout your duties. Our work environment is fast-paced and demands a high level of motor coordination and attention to detail, from handling orders to delivering products directly to customers' doors. This position not only tests your organizational skills but also your ability to interact professionally with customers and co-workers alike. The role requires physical stamina to carry products across various terrains, including multi-story buildings and private homes.

Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food service or delivery preferred
  • valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • ability to operate kitchen equipment
  • basic math skills
  • excellent communication skills
  • physically able to lift and carry products
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings

Job Qualifications

  • ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, may use calculator
  • must be able to make correct monetary change
  • verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders
  • motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed
  • ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen
  • ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions
  • ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person
  • navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the delivery area

Job Duties

  • operate all equipment
  • stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler
  • prepare product
  • receive and process telephone orders
  • take inventory and complete associated paperwork
  • clean equipment and facility approximately daily
  • deliver product by car to customer door
  • deliver flyers and door hangers
  • read maps and locate addresses within designated delivery area
  • navigate adverse terrain while carrying product
