The franchisee holds a license to use McDonald’s logos, trademarks, and food products, but it remains a separate entity with full responsibility for all employment-related matters at the restaurant. This includes hiring, firing, staffing, scheduling, supervision, and disciplinary actions. McDonald's USA does not participate in these employment decisions and does not have access to applicants’ personal information submitted during the hiring process.
