Job Description

Aramark is a global leader in food services, facilities management, and uniform services, proudly serving millions of guests daily across 15 countries. Rooted in service and united by a clear purpose, Aramark is dedicated to making a positive impact for its employees, clients, communities, and the environment. The company values diversity and inclusivity, providing equal employment opportunities without discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, gender identity, disability, or other protected characteristics. With a strong commitment to employee growth, Aramark offers a career path that fosters talent development, passion, and professional empowerment. Employees have opportunities for personal and professional advancement while contributing to a meaningful mission to serve people and the planet.

The General Manager position at University of Nebraska Athletics is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing multi-million dollar contracted food and beverage services. The role involves managing operations that include concessions, catering, and premium dining services at large sports events, concerts, and other special venue events. As a salaried position with bonus eligibility linked to financial and performance goals, the General Manager reports to the District Manager and leads a team of salaried managers. This role requires strategic planning, financial oversight including full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility, and active, hands-on leadership to meet client and guest expectations.

The General Manager must excel in managing large teams across multiple units and food service concepts, driving revenue growth through innovative service concepts, and fostering strong client partnerships. Working closely with senior leaders such as the Senior General Manager and Vice President of Operations, the General Manager will help devise and implement business development strategies to maximize growth opportunities within the University of Nebraska Athletics venue. The ideal candidate possesses extensive multi-unit or large venue management experience, preferably with direct P&L accountability, and demonstrates strong financial acumen in analytics and forecasting. Exceptional relationship-building skills, entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion for food and beverage excellence are essential attributes.

Success in this role depends on the ability to lead in a dynamic, fast-paced, and high-volume environment, maintaining a strong focus on client satisfaction and guest experiences. The General Manager must be adaptable, capable of responding effectively to changing circumstances, and willing to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical demands such as lifting, bending, and extended periods of walking or standing are expected, along with compliance with safety standards including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Joining Aramark means becoming part of a purpose-driven organization where your leadership directly contributes to unparalleled event experiences and operational excellence in one of the nation's prominent athletics venues. This opportunity offers a rewarding career with competitive salary, bonus potential, and the chance to make a visible impact in a renowned sports environment.
