Job Description
Chili's is a well-established and beloved casual dining restaurant brand that originated in Dallas, Texas in 1975. Over the decades, Chili’s has become synonymous with great food, exceptional hospitality, and a vibrant dining experience. Recognized widely for their iconic menu which includes Big Mouth burgers, house-smoked ribs, full-on fajitas, and hand-shaken margaritas, Chili’s has carved out an important place in the casual dining industry. The company's legacy isn’t just about food; it is deeply rooted in values centered around service, hospitality, and community giving. This commitment ensures every guest receives the best possible experience each time they visit. The location at 7777 E. Apache Street, Tulsa, OK, operates as an independent franchise, which means benefits may vary, but the core culture and standards of Chili’s remain consistent across all locations.
The Manager role at this Chili’s location is a critical leadership position that embodies the spirit of hospitality and operational excellence. Chili's Managers are passionate about connecting with both team members and guests, making everyone feel special and valued in the restaurant environment. These managers thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace, balancing high-energy shift management with achieving top business results. They are essential in maintaining a positive win-together atmosphere where teamwork is encouraged and exceptional efforts are celebrated.
At its core, this leadership role carries significant responsibility for guiding the management team through scheduling, assigning tasks, and setting clear expectations to ensure smooth operations. Managers play a pivotal role in performance management by conducting evaluations, coaching staff, and ensuring accountability across the team. Financial stewardship is another key aspect of the role, with managers planning and implementing budgets on weekly, monthly, and yearly bases to meet business goals.
Ensuring a great guest experience is paramount – this means overseeing day-to-day operations to uphold restaurant standards, lead by example, and enforce quality controls. Effective communication within the team is emphasized to foster a collaborative environment where open dialogue between staff and management leads to continuous improvement and a shared sense of purpose. Managers also champion change and new initiatives that help drive the business forward, using Chili’s operational systems to keep costs under control and improve efficiencies.
Hiring, training, and developing team members into larger roles are ongoing responsibilities, helping ensure the future strength and leadership of the restaurant. Further, managers engage with guests actively, building relationships within the restaurant and the community to enhance Chili’s brand presence. Maintaining food safety protocols and embodying Chili’s core cultural beliefs—Every Guest Counts, Food Perfection, Be Accountable, and Play Restaurant—are guiding principles in this position. This role is designed for somebody who is dependable, thrives under pressure, enjoys multitasking, and embraces a team-player attitude.
