Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years restaurant management experience
  • Must be available to work a minimum five-day workweek including nights, weekends, holidays, and irregular hours
  • Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, and selection practices
  • Knowledge of federal and state labor laws and local health and sanitation regulations
  • Leadership and supervisory experience
  • Effective communication skills
  • Basic accounting and computer proficiency
  • Ability to multitask and solve problems
  • Willingness to comply with appearance and hygiene standards at SONIC

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Advanced studies in business or restaurant management preferred
  • Minimum of two years restaurant management experience, preferably in quick service restaurants
  • Experience running shifts without supervision
  • Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, and selection practices
  • Knowledge of federal and state labor laws and health regulations
  • Leadership and supervisory skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic accounting and computer skills
  • Ability to follow directions and work autonomously
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills

Job Duties

  • Manage, train, monitor, and coach crew, team members, carhops, and skating carhops
  • Direct and assign drive-in restaurant employees to ensure all food service meets operational standards
  • Adhere to and monitor employee compliance with employee handbook, policies, and practices
  • Perform restaurant opening and closing duties
  • Prepare employee work schedules and adjust staffing levels as needed
  • Monitor and maintain restaurant inventory levels, placing orders within cost control procedures
  • Complete and maintain employment-related records and payroll
  • Reinforce a customer service mentality and focus employees on serving customers
  • Resolve guest requests and complaints promptly and respectfully
  • Interview and hire restaurant crew and management team members
  • Prepare operational reports and develop action plans to resolve financial or sales issues
  • Develop and implement marketing plans
