Cosentino is currently seeking a General Manager for its Distribution Center located in Tampa, Florida. This position is a pivotal leadership role responsible for directing all aspects of sales and profitability within multiple distribution centers. The General Manager ensures seamless coordination and oversight of the sales teams, drives the achievement of corporate initiatives and targets, and maintains the exceptional service and product standards expected by Cosentino’s clients. The role involves strategic management of customer accounts, local distributors, and the execution of marketing efforts in close alignment with corporate objectives. The General Manager’s leadership is crucial in fostering staff development, enhancing client relationships, and elevating the company’s market image in the Tampa area.

The successful candidate will possess strong communication capabilities, a broad understanding of business operations, and solid financial acumen including budgeting and revenue management. Additionally, extensive experience in sales leadership and staff management within the stone or a related industry is required. The starting salary for this position is $130,000 annually, with a 30% bonus potential and eligibility for additional annual awards tied to individual and company performance. Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience
  • 2+ years or more in the stone industry
  • 2+ years of experience in managing staff
  • bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • knowledge of CRM systems
  • strong communication and leadership skills
  • ability to manage budgets and financial reports
  • good organizational and multitasking abilities
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales software
  • willingness to travel as needed to meet clientele and coordinate with corporate offices

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • 5+ years of sales experience
  • 2+ years or more in the stone industry
  • 2+ years of experience in managing staff
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • knowledge of CRM systems
  • desired experience with Salesforce and SAP or other order management programs
  • master’s degree is a plus

Job Duties

  • Grow sales and distribution of all the centers’ affiliated company product lines in the area
  • focus promotional efforts on point-of-purchase displays including vignettes and samples
  • track competitor activity and market trends
  • manage key customers and local distributors through planning, visits, and relationship development
  • coordinate with the corporate office to market and co-advertise the brand throughout the region
  • create and adhere to a yearly budget related to expenses and revenue
  • manage, monitor, and evaluate the results of the center including degree of achievement of planned goals such as billing, overall efficiency, profitability by product, commercial segments, and exposure outlets
  • manage the sales teams of the assigned locations
  • maintain and grow relationships with regional fabricators and provide customer support
  • manage national account relationships and ensure compliance
  • lead by example to grow talent within the staff
  • enforce health and safety procedures among the sales team
  • maintain constant communication with the regional director to support business operations
  • perform other duties as assigned
