Job Description
This opportunity is with a leading hospitality company that manages size C properties, focusing on delivering exceptional guest and employee experiences while achieving robust financial performance. As a part of a globally recognized brand, the company emphasizes strategic business leadership, aligning property management with overarching brand strategies to drive profitability, customer satisfaction, and market share growth. This role is ideal for professionals with a background in hotel and restaurant management or business administration who seek to leverage their expertise in operations, sales, marketing, and financial management within the hospitality industry.
The position functions as the primary strategic business leader of a size C property, carrying comprehensive responsibility for all operational aspects. This includes managing guest and employee satisfaction, human resources, financial performance, sales, revenue generation, and ultimately delivering a strong return on investment. The role requires ensuring the implementation of brand service strategies and initiatives aimed at exceeding guest expectations. The individual in this role holds the property leadership team accountable for the execution of strategic plans while fostering their professional growth. Beyond managing internal operations, they actively engage in proactive sales activities and leverage various sales engines to generate business demand. Balancing company and property owner goals, the leader builds owner loyalty through effective communication, expectation setting, and delivering measurable business outcomes.
An integral part of the position is community involvement and relationship building with local officials, businesses, and customers to support the brand's reputation and market positioning. The property leader serves as a passionate brand advocate, embodying the brand values in every aspect of leadership. This involves driving innovation, managing business information analysis, overseeing employee and labor relations with fairness and respect, and executing revenue management strategies. Furthermore, the role manages public relations and strives to enhance customer experiences through quality service and attention to detail in all customer interactions.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a two-year degree with significant management experience or a four-year bachelor’s degree with reduced experience requirements. Preferred qualifications include prior general manager experience in limited or full-service properties, a proven track record of career growth, and flexibility to work varied hours including weekends and holidays. Key competencies include leadership, problem solving, communication, creativity, adaptability, and the ability to build and maintain teams and stakeholder relationships. The leader must demonstrate a professional demeanor while fostering inclusion and talent development across the organization.
This full-time leadership role offers relocation benefits, indicating the company’s commitment to attracting top talent with the necessary skills and experience to advance the property’s competitive edge. Compensation details are competitive and aligned with industry standards for similar leadership positions within the hospitality sector. Overall, this role is a critical driver of the property’s success, requiring a dynamic individual who can blend strategic insight with hands-on operational expertise to achieve excellence in property management and brand representation.
