Applegreen USA is a leading operator of travel plazas located across the Northeast and Midwest regions of the United States. The position of General Manager QSR at Applegreen USA entails managing the overall operations and profitability of a quick service restaurant located inside one of its travel plazas. This dynamic role is critical to the success of the food and beverage concept housed within these highly trafficked highway locations. The General Manager is responsible for leading a dedicated team that strives to meet or exceed the targeted financial, operational, and performance goals. Key duties include overseeing daily activities to ensure operational excellence in sales, customer satisfaction, speed of service, brand standards, and food quality and safety. This role is vital for maintaining optimal staffing levels through recruitment, development, retention, and management of team members, and fostering a positive workplace culture that emphasizes learning, recognition, and growth.

Additionally, the General ManagerQ SR manages budgets, inventory, food and labor costs, reporting, and compliance with legal regulations and company policies. They play a crucial role in addressing customer issues promptly and professionally, thereby enhancing long-term customer relationships. Collaboration is a core aspect of this role, requiring regular interaction with brand partners, human resources, loss prevention, finance, and facilities management to ensure seamless operations. With a focus on community involvement and vendor management, this position demands a leader who is adaptable, proactive, and passionately committed to excellence in a fast-paced environment. Essential experience includes team management, multitasking, problem solving, and proficiency in computer skills, with ServSafe certification preferred. This full-time role requires flexibility with scheduling and availability to work approximately 50 hours per week, including weekends and holidays. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education development (GED) equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience as a supervisor or unit-level manager in a quick service restaurant
  • Available to work a flexible on-site schedule approximately 50 hours per week including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Able to stand and walk for an extended period of time
  • frequently bend, twist, lift and carry at least 20 pounds
  • Occasionally attend meetings or travel to support other locations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education development (GED) equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience as a supervisor or unit-level manager in a quick service restaurant
  • Ability to operate in and lead a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates team management, delegation and issue resolution skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Uses judgment and discretion to resolve less routine questions and problems
  • Proven ability to drive profitable growth while improving customer and associate satisfaction
  • Proficient computer skills
  • ServSafe certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Lead the day-to-day activities of associates and managers within the QSR to achieve or exceed targeted objectives around sales, speed of service, customer satisfaction, brand standards, and food quality and safety standards
  • Maintain operating budgets, inventory controls, food and labor costs, gross profit, and reporting
  • Ensure the QSR consistently meets or exceeds brand standards and food safety requirements
  • Foster an engaging work culture of learning, development, and recognition
  • Consistently recruit, develop, and retain a strong team to ensure appropriate staffing levels
  • Responsible for the hiring, coaching, training, promotion, disciplinary action, termination, or transfer of the QSR team
  • Monitor and enforce cash handling policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures along with local, state, and federal laws
  • Address customer needs and resolve issues and complaints in a professional and timely manner, ensuring positive and long-term customer relationships
  • Work collaboratively with a variety of support partners such as Brand Partners, Human Resources, Loss Prevention, Finance, and Facilities and Maintenance
  • Maintain seamless, cooperative relationships with business partners, vendors, and the communities
