In the role of General Manager at Schulte Companies, the successful candidate will be energized and experienced, bringing a hands-on approach to managing hotel operations. The General Manager will hold a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing budgets, developing financial plans, and controlling expenditures to align with company goals. With a focus on maintaining strong financial records and achieving sales and profit targets, this role demands strategic planning and meticulous oversight. Recruiting, training, and monitoring staff will be a key function, as well as planning work schedules to optimize team performance. The General Manager will also be responsible for addressing guest concerns promptly and effectively, troubleshooting problems as they arise, and ensuring smooth execution of events and conferences. Asset preservation is a critical aspect of the role, encompassing supervision of maintenance, supplies, renovations, and furnishings.

Furthermore, the General Manager will maintain robust relationships with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to secure quality services and supplies. Ensuring the property's environment is safe and secure for guests and associates alike is paramount. The role involves carrying out appropriate inspections in accordance with brand and organizational standards, ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory obligations. The General Manager is expected to ensure the property meets brand guidelines and delivers exceptional service standards, providing a superior guest experience. Additional duties may be assigned to meet evolving business objectives.

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or business preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
