Job Description

Taco Bell is a renowned QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) brand that has been at the forefront of innovation in the fast-food industry since its inception by Glen Bell in 1962 in Downey, California. Over the decades, Taco Bell has evolved into a culture-centric and lifestyle brand known for serving craveable and affordable Mexican-inspired food with bold flavors. The company prides itself on using quality ingredients and has made a significant mark by being the first QSR restaurant to offer American Vegetarian Association (AVA)-certified menu items. This positions Taco Bell not just as a leader in fast casual dining but also as a pioneer in catering to varied dietary preferences and requirements. Taco Bell is committed to delivering excellent customer experiences and fostering a positive work atmosphere that encourages professional growth and development.

The Restaurant General Manager role at Taco Bell is an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals ready to take on a leadership position within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This full-time, on-site position offers a competitive salary ranging from $47,000 to $51,000 annually, alongside a bonus pay structure. The General Manager serves as the backbone of the restaurant's operations, responsible for leading the team and establishing both the tone of the work environment and the level of customer hospitality experienced at the location. This role demands strong leadership capabilities, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for developing a team culture centered on delivering great food and friendly service.

As a Restaurant General Manager, you will oversee the entire restaurant operation, ensuring that all functions run smoothly and that customer satisfaction remains at the forefront. You will be charged with building a robust team by recruiting, hiring, and training employees, as well as conducting new hire orientation sessions tailored to launch each team member’s journey successfully. Managing staff schedules with precision to optimize team deployment, addressing employee performance issues promptly, and maintaining budgetary and financial oversight are also critical components of this role. The position requires an individual with a competitive spirit and a commitment to excellence, alongside the ability to tolerate physical demands such as standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and frequent stooping during up to 80% of shift time.

This role is ideal for someone who either holds or is willing to attain supervisory experience in the food service or retail sectors, with at least 1 to 3 years of experience, including Profit and Loss responsibility. While a high school diploma or GED is preferred, it is not mandatory, making this an accessible yet challenging opportunity for diverse candidates. Basic computer literacy and business math skills, coupled with sound decision-making and analytical abilities, will support success in this demanding but rewarding job.

Taco Bell provides a full benefits package to its employees, including medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability insurance, and life insurance, alongside a 401(k) program with company matching. Employees are also entitled to paid vacations, two paid holidays, free meals, and an employee retail discount program. Performance is acknowledged through quarterly bonus programs and annual reviews, where employees can grow, learn, and succeed within a supportive team-oriented environment.

If you are searching for a career that offers room for growth, a vibrant workplace culture, and the chance to lead a winning team dedicated to delivering delightful customer experiences, Taco Bell invites you to apply. Join a brand that continues to innovate and thrive in the restaurant industry by fostering a commitment to quality, teamwork, and community involvement. Embark on a rewarding leadership journey where you can make a tangible impact every day and enjoy the benefits of working with one of the most recognizable and dynamic brands in fast food.
