Job Description
PickleRage Union County is a premier pickleball club dedicated to fostering a vibrant and inclusive community centered around the rapidly growing sport of pickleball. With a state-of-the-art facility featuring multiple pickleball courts, a full-service bar and restaurant, and a well-stocked Pro Shop, PickleRage serves as a hub for enthusiasts of all skill levels to gather, compete, and enjoy the sport in a welcoming environment. The club emphasizes hospitality and community engagement, striving to deliver an exceptional experience to every member and guest while promoting the health and social benefits of pickleball. PickleRage Union County operates with a commitment to quality service, innovative programming, and operational excellence to remain a leader in the regional pickleball scene.
The General Manager at PickleRage Union County plays a crucial leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of this dynamic facility. This full-time position entails close collaboration with department heads including the Food and Beverage Manager, Programming Director, Marketing Director, Sales Team, and Front Desk Lead to ensure a seamless, high-quality experience across all aspects of the club's offerings. The General Manager is tasked with providing business savvy leadership, fostering a positive and energetic work atmosphere, and upholding the highest standards of hospitality and customer service.
Central to the General Manager's responsibilities is the oversight of all pickleball activities, the restaurant and bar operations, and the Pro Shop. By proactively tracking financial performance through revenue analysis and expense controls, the manager ensures that the club meets its budgetary goals as outlined in the profit and loss statements. The role also demands strategic input into budgeting and forecasting while working hand in hand with accounting and finance teams to maintain accurate financial reporting.
Further, the General Manager serves as the primary liaison with members, managing communication channels such as the monthly member newsletter and supporting the Program Director in the development and delivery of engaging pickleball programming. This includes overseeing scheduling, billing, market research of local competitive offerings, and assisting with the creation of safe and professional on-court programs that generate revenue.
Operational efficiency and clarity are enhanced through the creation and implementation of thoughtful policies and procedures, strengthening club management. The General Manager represents PickleRage Union County in a manner consistent with corporate branding and actively promotes member engagement through community outreach initiatives, marketing material coordination, and non-revenue producing activities.
Collaboration extends to supporting Sales and Marketing teams in fostering strategic partnerships with neighborhood organizations and local businesses to identify opportunities for growth and increased patronage. Event coordination responsibilities involve working with corporate and local event teams as well as Food and Beverage and coaching staff to ensure all functions run smoothly and meet high standards.
Facility management duties include supervising maintenance, repairs, cleaning, trash removal, and pest control while maintaining vendor relationships to support these operations. Additionally, the General Manager liaises with Human Resources to implement compliance with employment policies and legal standards.
This leadership position reports directly to ownership and requires a passion for pickleball along with exceptional leadership, communication, and business management skills. The role is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the growth and success of a flourishing pickleball community in Union County.
