This job opportunity is offered by a well-established quick-service restaurant (QSR) chain renowned for delivering exceptional dining experiences through quality food and outstanding customer service. As a leading player in the fast-food industry, the company prides itself on a culture of hospitality, operational excellence, and team collaboration. The restaurant operates multiple drive-in locations, providing customers with efficient, convenient dining options. Their commitment to community involvement and innovation has helped them maintain a strong presence in the competitive food service market. Employment with this establishment promises exposure to a dynamic fast-paced work environment, extensive training resources, and opportunities for professional growth within the hospitality sector.
The position available is for a General Manager/Operating Partner, who will serve as the highest-ranking manager at a drive-in location, directly responsible for overseeing all operations and employee activities. This exempt position reports to the Market Supervisor or Multi-Unit Supervisor and plays a pivotal role in ensuring the restaurant runs smoothly and profitably. General Managers/Operating Partners are entrusted with a broad spectrum of responsibilities including leadership, employee management, operational oversight, and strategic planning.
In this role, the General Manager/Operating Partner will lead by example, recruiting, training, directing, and coaching assistant managers and staff while managing schedules and performance to maintain high standards of customer service and operational efficiency. They will be tasked with managing financial aspects such as food costs, labor budgets, inventory control, and vendor relations to maximize profitability. The role requires hands-on involvement in daily drive-in operations such as opening and closing procedures, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation, and handling customer and employee concerns tactfully and professionally.
Operational excellence is a cornerstone of this role, and the General Manager will be expected to lead regular team meetings to align employees with the company's standards and goals. They will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, preparing operational reports, and spearheading local marketing efforts to boost business performance. Compliance with all company policies, as well as federal, state, and local laws, particularly related to labor, health, and safety, is crucial.
This position demands a minimum commitment of 50 hours per week, including irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays. Candidates should anticipate a physically active work environment, including standing, bending, lifting, and exposure to temperature variations. This challenging yet rewarding leadership role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on the success of the drive-in, develop a motivated team, and contribute to a brand recognized for quality and service excellence.
