The General Manager role at La Colombe, a subsidiary brand under Chobani, is a full-time position with a salary range of $75,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. The General Manager will be responsible for leading the cafe team, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, and maintaining smooth daily operations. This multifaceted role requires a leader with strong organizational abilities, a passion for coffee and people, and the ability to manage both the strategic and tactical aspects of the cafe’s operations.

The General Manager will inspire, train, and support the cafe team to deliver exceptional service and memorable coffee experiences that turn first-time visitors into loyal customers. They will oversee quality control, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and maintain a keen focus on safety, harassment prevention, and addressing any incidents promptly. This role also demands a heart for service, cultivating a hospitality-driven environment and educating baristas about La Colombe's mission, culture, and the rich stories behind its coffee.

On the business side, the General Manager will manage inventory operations, including ordering, stocking, and merchandising, and maintain optimal inventory levels to support uninterrupted cafe operations. They will oversee opening and closing procedures, financial reporting, and collaborate in developing growth strategies. Scheduling will be another key responsibility, where the General Manager will work alongside the Cafe Manager to ensure efficient staffing that enhances customer experience while controlling costs.

Ideal candidates will have at least five years of leadership experience in food service or retail, with bonus points for cafe or coffee shop management experience. A love for people and coffee, paired with excellent organizational and multitasking skills, are essential. Job Requirements

  • Experience in customer service, retail, hospitality where the focus is customer facing (a plus, but not required - we will train you)
  • Takes pride in being part of a team and embodies One Dove principles - kindness, respect, deliciousness, efficiency, and cleanliness
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent walking, bending, reaching, and twisting
