Job Requirements

  • GMIs must have documented and demonstrated skills managing quick-service or similar restaurants
  • Minimum of 3 years restaurant P&L management experience
  • Overall working restaurant experience of 5-7 years in a relevant type
  • Graduation from food service management or culinary program may substitute experience
  • Demonstrated team management and delegation skills
  • Ability to manage concurrent priorities
  • Knowledge or ability to quickly learn HMSHost policies and standards
  • Ability to read, comprehend and converse effectively

Job Qualifications

  • Graduation from a food service management or culinary program may substitute for a portion of experience
  • Minimum of 3 years documented restaurant P&L management experience
  • Demonstrated team management, delegation and issue resolution skills
  • Ability to manage multiple and concurrent priorities
  • Knowledge of HMSHost policies, products, service, quality, equipment and operational standards
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and policy documents

Job Duties

  • Open and close the restaurant ensuring all procedures are executed properly
  • Deploy staff and resources to maximize profitability within the restaurant
  • Assign work tasks, prepare schedules, and ensure all shifts are covered
  • Provide consistent support, coaching and encouragement to achieve business goals
  • Conduct interviews, make hiring and employment decisions, and promote HMSHost within the community
  • Ensure onboarding and offboarding processes are compliant with company policies
  • Monitor financial and operational data and assign associates to meet objectives
