Job Description
Hard Rock Las Vegas is an upcoming luxurious and vibrant integrated resort located on the iconic Las Vegas Strip. Featuring a spectacular guitar-shaped hotel that redefines the iconic skyline, this resort promises a world-class hospitality experience that encompasses gaming, fine dining, entertainment, retail, and wellness. The resort will have over 3,700 hotel rooms, expansive gaming spaces of approximately 175,000 square feet, two world-class spas, multiple pools, live entertainment venues, and a diverse set of restaurants, lounges, and retail outlets. Established under the globally renowned Hard Rock brand, the property aims to become a benchmark of quality and luxury hospitality on the Las Vegas Strip.
This position is for the General Manager of the Guitar Hotel, reporting directly to the Property President and/or SVP/General Manager. The General Manager is a pivotal leadership role responsible for spearheading the hotel’s strategic development, operational excellence, financial performance, and overall brand integrity. This role necessitates someone who can inspire a culture of hospitality and professionalism that aligns with Hard Rock’s mission, vision, and values, ensuring the delivery of Forbes 5-Star service and guest experiences consistently. As the face and leader of the hotel, the General Manager oversees the management of all operational areas, including VIP services, concierges, spa, and salon, fostering an environment of exceptional service quality and team member engagement.
Key responsibilities include strategic leadership in financial management—budget development, capital expenditure planning, and cash flow oversight—operational control aligned with brand standards, talent acquisition and development, risk and safety management, and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders and the community. The General Manager is also accountable for maintaining competitive advantage via market analysis, quality assurance, and staff training programs. This role demands a dynamic and accomplished hospitality professional with extensive experience in 5-star hotels, a proven track record in launching luxury hotel properties, and a passion for exceeding guest expectations while cultivating a positive work atmosphere. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication, analytical, and leadership capabilities with an ability to motivate and inspire teams in a high-paced, luxury hospitality environment.

Job Qualifications
- Requires a BS/BA degree in Hospitality Management or another related field
- master’s degree preferred
- minimum of ten (10) years hotel experience including five (5) years at department head level
- a minimum of 5 years professional experience within 5-star hotels rooms
- hands-on experience in the successful opening and launch of 5-star hotels
- proven expertise working with lifestyle hospitality brands
- demonstrates stability in roles, maintaining an average tenure of at least 3 years in each position
- flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate
- ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Job Duties
- Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Hard Rock departmental policies and procedures
- provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Guitar Hotel operation and seamless alignment of the hotel's culture, mission, values, and quality standards to ensure consistent delivery of Forbes 5-Star service and operations
- overall accountability for the Guitar Hotel's financial performance, brand integrity, operational excellence, and strategic direction
- resort-wide management of the luxury service team, including VIP Services, Concierges and Spa/Salon
- set clear performance expectations, lead by example, and hold team members accountable for achieving goals within agreed timelines and standards
- responsible for training programs that ensure all team members possess the technical knowledge, soft skills and behavioral standards required to deliver the highest level of exceptional service
- proactively address operational issues, risks, and liabilities, communicating effectively with leadership to ensure resolution and alignment
