Nestled in a scenic coastal location, the marina boasts over 265 boat slips and offers a comprehensive range of amenities ensuring guests enjoy an exceptional year-round experience. The property features a 30-room hotel designed for comfort and relaxation, an indoor heated saltwater pool and Jacuzzi, and the Mile Marker One Restaurant & Bar, which provides waterfront dining both indoors and outdoors on its decks. During the colder months from November to April, guests can enjoy a unique dining experience in magical igloos, adding charm and warmth to the visit. Furthermore, Cape Ann Marina is equipped with versatile event spaces suitable for weddings, meetings, and various social gatherings, making it a favored destination for both leisure and corporate events. This family-oriented establishment values community, quality service, and a welcoming ambiance to all its patrons.
The General Manager role at Cape Ann Marina is a pivotal leadership position responsible for steering the hospitality operations in alignment with the vision of the owners and the organization's mission. As the captain of the hospitality segment of this property, the General Manager oversees the restaurant, hotel, and overall property management while collaborating closely with various department heads including the Restaurant and Bar Managers, the Chef, and the Hotel Manager. The General Manager is deeply involved in operational management, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, maintaining high service standards, and innovating new ideas to attract and retain customers year-round. Finance responsibilities include planning budgets, producing Profit & Loss statements, reviewing financial performance, and working with the owners to plan fiscal strategies and property development. On the staffing front, the General Manager is tasked with hiring, coaching, and managing leadership teams, supporting HR activities, and promoting open communication and professional conduct among employees. The role requires superior communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, an executive presence, and a deep understanding of the hospitality industry encompassing food, beverage, hotel, and event operations. Candidates are expected to have 8-10+ years of hospitality management experience with strong expertise in food and beverage operations, including fine dining and crafted cocktails. Academic qualifications preferably include a degree in Business or Hospitality Management. Cape Ann Marina offers a dynamic, fulfilling environment where leadership and creativity in hospitality can thrive.
