Job Requirements

  • College degree in hospitality management or related field
  • Minimum 10 years hospitality industry experience
  • At least 5 years of management experience
  • Must have valid Food Handler Certificate
  • Knowledge of computer applications including MS Word and MS Excel
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • Strong communication skills
  • ServSafe certification
  • Flexible schedule
  • Strong leadership abilities
  • Ability to manage budgeting and personnel
  • Understanding of safety rules and operational standards

Job Qualifications

  • College degree in hospitality management or acceptable industry experience
  • Minimum of 10 years in hospitality with 5 years management experience
  • Excellent communication skills with customers and employees
  • Knowledge of computer applications including MS Word, MS Excel and restaurant applications
  • Complete understanding of creating and performing to operating budgets
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
  • Knowledge and experience in restaurant management
  • Positive interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to quality service and food and beverage knowledge
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and some holidays
  • Flexible schedule helpful
  • Valid Food Handler Certificate

Job Duties

  • Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant achieving defined organizational results
  • Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs including food, beverage, supply, utility and labor costs
  • Responsible for ensuring that all financial (invoices, reporting) and personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance
  • Ensure consistent high quality of food preparation and service and compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws and ordinances
  • Maintain professional restaurant image including cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards
  • Estimate food and beverage costs and work with corporate office staff for provisioning and purchasing
  • Supervise portion control and minimize waste
  • Estimate food needs, place orders with distributors, and schedule deliveries
  • Must be ServSafe certified and uphold all ServSafe guidelines
  • Ensure proper security procedures to protect employees, guests and assets
  • Ensure a safe working and guest environment and complete accident reports promptly
  • Manage shifts including scheduling, planning, and upholding standards
  • Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service
  • Provide operational direction to employees
  • Interview, hire, supervise, develop and if necessary terminate employees
  • Conduct training and oversee orientation
  • Develop employees through feedback and performance reviews
  • Maintain accurate staffing plans and schedules
  • Follow all company policies and procedures
  • Attend mandatory meetings
  • Perform cross-training and other assigned duties
  • Maintain dress code and complete required training
  • Adhere to consistent work schedule
  • Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity
  • Perform duties safely
  • Other duties as assigned
