The company's commitment to service excellence and community engagement is deeply embedded in its culture. Rooted in service and united by purpose, Aramark focuses on empowering its workforce to reach their full potential while making a positive impact on partners, communities, and the environment. The company values equal employment opportunity and fosters an inclusive work environment free from discrimination based on race, color, religion, or other protected characteristics. This approach cultivates a diverse and collaborative workplace where employees can thrive and grow professionally.

Located at High Point University, the Jana and Ken Kahn Hotel stands as a premier facility designed to accommodate a growing number of students and families attracted to the university. This elegant hotel offers beautifully appointed guest rooms and suites alongside a fine-dining restaurant, creating a refined experience for visitors. The hotel uniquely connects with the Nido and Mariana Qubein Arena and Conference Center, which serves as the home for HPU’s men’s and women’s basketball teams, and additionally hosts major events, speakers, concerts, academic symposia, and various recreational activities. The dynamic nature of the facility requires a high level of operational expertise to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.

The role of General Manager at the Kahn Hotel is a leadership position responsible for overseeing multiple contracted services that generate between $2 million and $15 million plus in revenue. The General Manager plays a critical role in managing these services, which may encompass food service, facility support, custodial services, retail, lodging, transportation, and more. This position demands a capable operations manager who can lead and develop teams to deliver exceptional service, maintain client relationships, and meet both operating and financial goals.

As a General Manager, you will spearhead a team to provide hands-on management and operational expertise for contracted services. You will act as the liaison between the client, the community, and your team, continually assessing performance and developing strategies to enhance service quality, drive employee engagement, and boost customer satisfaction. A significant part of your responsibilities includes building and mentoring a management team skilled in executing organizational objectives efficiently and effectively.

You will recommend methods and resources for service improvement and growth based on a thorough understanding of client needs, operational capabilities, and contractual obligations. Working closely with the finance department, you'll manage budgets and identify opportunities to optimize financial performance and productivity. Compliance with local, state, and federal regulations is essential, along with upholding Aramark's high standards of operation, including safety protocols and business conduct policies.

This role also demands strong business acumen, excellent interpersonal skills for communication with diverse stakeholders, and the ability to analyze and implement contractual requirements. Candidates with a background in food service, hospitality, facilities management, or business are highly preferred, bringing entrepreneurial spirit and contract service experience. The job may include physical demands such as lifting, bending, and extended walking or standing, and may require the use of uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Joining Aramark means being part of a forward-thinking organization that values talent development and professional growth. With a vibrant work culture and a commitment to positive impact, Aramark offers a rewarding career for individuals who are ready to make a difference every day, helping clients and customers thrive in dynamic environments such as the Jana and Ken Kahn Hotel at High Point University.
