Known for their quality, creativity, and impeccable event execution, the company continues to evolve with industry trends, focusing on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
This opportunity involves joining the esteemed leadership team as an Executive overseeing Gil's Catering, an instrumental division within Proof of the Pudding. The Executive will lead day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and efficient management across logistics, staffing, event coordination, and financial oversight. With oversight of 15 managers and over 150 hourly employees, this role demands strong leadership skills, precise budget management, and a passion for delivering upscale event excellence. Daily responsibilities include aligning various departments, driving operational efficiency, and cultivating a positive, growth-oriented workplace culture. This position combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational involvement across diverse venues, requiring flexibility to navigate fast-paced, high-energy environments including kitchens, warehouses, and event sites.
The Executive will be pivotal in setting ambitious goals for departmental growth and profitability while fostering collaboration across sales, operations, culinary, and warehouse teams. This role also includes managing hiring, talent development, and maintaining strong client and vendor relationships. A commitment to innovation, including leveraging AI tools for optimization, and deep understanding of financial management such as P&L and balance sheet analysis, are critical for success. Candidates must have an extensive background in hospitality or food and beverage management, with proficiency in Microsoft 360 and catering-specific software such as Paycom, Caterease, and Ottimate.
The work environment balances office-based strategic work with significant time spent onsite at varying venues, requiring adaptability and physical stamina. Applicants should be prepared to travel between venues, participate in event execution oversight, and manage facilities operations, including after-hours responsibilities for safety and maintenance. This position offers a competitive salary along with an 11% annual performance bonus and a comprehensive benefits package covering health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance options, as well as unique perks like daily lunches, phone and car allowances.
