Aramark Healthcare+ is actively seeking a General Manager to oversee the Food & Nutrition Services Department at Broward Health Coral Springs, a respected healthcare institution located in Coral Springs, Florida. This role is pivotal in managing multiple contracted services within the client site, generating between $2 million to over $15 million in annual revenue. The services managed can range from food service, facility support, custodial services, retail, lodging, to transportation. The General Manager is charged with planning, managing, and guiding these operations to meet both financial and operating goals while ensuring client and customer satisfaction.
This leadership position demands a capable operations manager who can lead a diverse team providing excellent service. They must possess a strong understanding of the client’s business environment, demonstrate financial acumen, and maintain a focus on safety and compliance with all regulatory requirements. The role involves overseeing daily operational execution, building and developing management teams, and fostering positive relationships with clients and the local community. Managing budgets in collaboration with the finance team and recommending service improvements based on operational needs are key responsibilities. The General Manager must also ensure strict adherence to Aramark's standards of operation, including safety policies and the company's Business Conduct Policy.
Candidates for this role should hold a bachelor’s degree preferably in Food Service, Hospitality, Facilities, or Business Management and have previous experience in healthcare, especially in an acute care hospital setting. Experience as a General Manager or Food Service Director is highly preferred. Essential skills include strong client and customer service orientation, entrepreneurial spirit, interpersonal savvy to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders, and comprehensive knowledge of contractual obligations and operational requirements. The ability to lead through other managers, manage departmental budgets, implement financial controls, and devise product sales strategies is crucial for success.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree highly preferred
- Previous leadership experience in food service or hospitality management
- Healthcare experience in acute care hospital settings preferred

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree level education in Food Service, Hospitality, Facilities, or Business Management highly preferred
- Healthcare experience within an acute care hospital strongly preferred
- Previous experience as a General Manager or Food Service Director preferred
- Ability to focus on client and customer services, entrepreneurship and building and growing a strong business
- Savvy interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients, senior management and Aramark support staff
- Comfortable reading, understanding and implementing contractual requirements including identifying opportunities within contract terms and conditions
- Meaningful experience in service industry, contract services, or hospitality environment
- Proven ability leading through other managers
- Experience in creating and managing a department budget, financial controls and analysis
- Experience crafting product sales strategies and implementing operational programs and initiatives
Job Duties
- Leads a team that provides operational expertise in contracted services while providing hands-on execution management of operations
- Manages the client and community relationships at the location, continually assessing operations, and developing plans to provide optimal service and drive employee and customer satisfaction
- Builds, develops, and leads a management team and staff capable of carrying out organizational objectives
- Recommends methods, resources, and implementation for service improvement and growth based on understanding of operational needs, capabilities, and contractual obligations
- In partnership with Finance, manages a budget and assists in the design of improvements to optimize financial performance and operational productivity
- Manages compliance with all local, state and federal regulations and codes and maintains all associated records and reports
- Ensures compliance with Aramark's standards of operation including safety standards and Aramark's Business Conduct Policy at all times
