Job Description
Firehouse Subs is a renowned fast-casual restaurant franchise known for its heartiest hot subs, freshly prepared sandwiches, and commitment to community welfare. Founded in 1994, Firehouse Subs has grown significantly, establishing numerous locations across the United States, including multiple stores in Lee County, Florida. This particular opportunity pertains to an independently owned and operated franchise within Lee County, which includes locations in Cape Coral and Ft. Myers, FL. With a strong emphasis on operational excellence and community involvement, Firehouse Subs is dedicated to providing top-quality food and exceptional customer service within a vibrant and supportive work environment.
The position available is a Restaurant Manager role that entails full accountability for the profitable operation of one of the Firehouse Subs restaurants while adhering to all company guidelines and regulatory requirements. This is a full-time, in-person role paying between $55,000 and $60,000 per year, reflecting the competitive compensation package offered by the franchise. The selected candidate will initially undergo training by working across all four Lee County locations, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the operations before ideally becoming assigned to either the Cape Coral or Ft. Myers location.
As the Restaurant Manager, the individual will report directly to the Owner and Director of Operations and will play a crucial leadership role in embodying the Firehouse Subs culture – emphasizing a cheerful, fun work environment, superior guest service, quality, and cleanliness. Key responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations such as health codes, wage laws, ADA, OSHA, and other legal requirements, fostering a welcoming and high-performing team, maintaining profitability by managing costs, labor, and sales growth, and executing company initiatives and local marketing efforts.
Moreover, the manager will be responsible for staffing the restaurant with qualified individuals, overseeing the continuous training and development of assistant managers and shift supervisors, leading community outreach and public relations opportunities, and ensuring the maintenance and proper functioning of restaurant equipment. Physical demands include being able to work on feet for up to 13 hours and lifting up to 50 pounds, with work schedules covering early mornings and evenings.
This franchise offers a rich set of benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance with employer contributions, paid vacation, quarterly performance bonuses, free meals during shifts, company parties, employee discounts, and opportunities for advancement. The role provides not just financial rewards but also extensive training and development to foster career growth.
Overall, this Restaurant Manager position at Firehouse Subs is an exceptional career opportunity for a motivated individual seeking to thrive in a fast-paced, community-engaged foodservice environment. The role promises a challenging yet rewarding experience where leadership, operational expertise, and a passion for serving quality food can directly contribute to the success and growth of a beloved local restaurant franchise.
