The General Manager position is a full-time role central to managing the day-to-day operations of a Burger King restaurant. The successful candidate will lead by example, motivating and training staff to maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include overseeing recruitment and employee development, ensuring staffing levels meet customer demand, managing finances including cash controls, and enforcing company policies. The General Manager also collaborates with the district manager in local marketing efforts to enhance customer traffic and sales volumes. Inventory control, safety compliance, and operational efficiency are essential to this position as well.

  • Experience 2-4 years of supervision or management in a restaurant environment
  • Ability to train, guide and direct management staff
  • Ability to work with a high degree of independence and discretion

  • Good organization and time management skills
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation

Job Duties

  • Instruct, train and develop the restaurant team to create an environment where enthusiastic individuals are recognized and rewarded for achieving their personal goals and objectives
  • Train new management employees to develop and supervise the team
  • Responsible for general hiring of hourly employees
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels to maximize customer service and sales efforts
  • Work to maximize sales and profits within the restaurant
  • Responsible for all cash controls and ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Collaborate with the district manager to prepare and execute local marketing, merchandising, sales and promotion efforts to increase sales volume and customer traffic
  • Responsible for ordering, accounting and maintaining all food and paper inventories
  • Ensure that all safety procedures are followed within the restaurant
