Catbird Rooftop, a vibrant and design-forward rooftop destination located in Dallas, offers an exciting opportunity to join Hyatt as a General Manager. Overlooking the stunning Dallas skyline, Catbird Rooftop combines a unique ambiance with exceptional culinary and beverage offerings designed to cater to an upscale, high-volume clientele. As the General Manager, you will be the visionary and operational leader responsible for ensuring a seamless guest experience while driving the financial performance and long-term success of the venue.

This leadership role requires a hands-on operational presence overseeing all aspects of the business, from daily services and team management to budgeting and strategic initiatives. Reporting directly to the Director of Restaurant, Bars, and Events, you will blend entrepreneurial leadership with disciplined execution, helping to position Catbird Rooftop as a premier destination in Dallas. The role demands a leader who can anticipate high-volume periods, ensure compliance with brand standards, and cultivate a high-performing team culture focused on warmth, personalization, and innovation.

You will manage day-to-day operations with expert knowledge of menu items, beverages, and compliance standards, while working closely with culinary leadership to deliver an elevated dining experience. Driving top-line revenue through creative programming and event-based strategies is a critical component of this role, along with managing payroll, tip distribution, and maintaining strong cost controls. Your leadership will also extend to recruiting, hiring, and developing a motivated and inclusive team, conducting performance reviews, and maintaining alignment through daily pre-shift meetings.

In addition, you will play a pivotal role in marketing and program development by collaborating on seasonal initiatives, developing rooftop activations, themed events, and holiday experiences that enhance the brand's identity and guest engagement. The budgeted salary range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience, reflecting the significance Hyatt places on this strategic leadership role. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 4+ years of progressive food and beverage management experience
  • Proven leadership success in upscale, high-volume environments
  • Strong financial acumen and P&L management experience
  • High energy, entrepreneurial mindset, and motivational leadership style
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and administrative skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
