About Us:

We are preparing to launch an exciting new bar and food cart pod in the vibrant Hollywood neighborhood, renowned for its dynamic dining scene and bustling community feel. Our unique concept blends a fast-casual atmosphere with classic drink offerings and a warm, inviting environment that appeals to diverse crowds. This innovative space will feature nine different food carts, each offering a variety of culinary delights, alongside seating that can accommodate over 200 guests. This ambitious project offers a rare opportunity to join a team at the ground level, allowing a hands-on role in shaping a destination that promises to become a neighborhood favorite.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced General Manager who has a proven track record of successfully opening bars or restaurants. This leadership role is pivotal during the pre-opening phase and beyond. The General Manager will be instrumental in establishing operational practices, from conceptualizing and implementing a balanced drink menu to managing vendor relationships and recruiting and training a capable team. The role extends to overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly to deliver premium customer experiences, operational efficiency, and profitability.

In the pre-opening period, the chosen candidate will develop and implement operational systems tailored to a multi-vendor environment, contribute to the physical setup of the bar, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure inventory quality and cost efficiency. After the launch, responsibilities will focus on employee management, inventory control, sales monitoring, and continuous innovation to enhance the customer experience and operational success. The General Manager will also be the primary problem solver for operational challenges and will handle the management of food cart leases.

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $64,000 to $74,000 annually based on experience, along with attractive quarterly bonuses, a yearly health care contribution of $5,000, and competitive paid time off. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in bar or hospitality management
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • proven experience in opening new bar or restaurant concepts
  • knowledge of local liquor laws and health regulations
  • excellent communication and organizational skills
  • ability to solve problems efficiently
  • experience with POS systems, preferably Toast
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a General Manager or similar leadership role in the bar or hospitality industry
  • strong, proactive leadership and team-building skills
  • expertise in menu planning, vendor negotiations, and inventory management
  • Toast POS experience a plus
  • a strong work ethic, attention to detail, exceptional multitasking and problem-solving abilities
  • knowledge of local liquor laws, health regulations, and compliance requirements
  • familiarity with marketing and promotional strategies is a plus
