Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or similar field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • hotel operations experience including knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
  • Certified Hospitality Administrator designation (preferred)
  • presentation and facilitation skills (preferred)
  • excellent customer service skills
  • previous experience in the hospitality industry (preferred)
  • hotel management operations experience (preferred)
  • knowledge of government relations regarding hotel operations (preferred)

Job Duties

  • Direct the day-to-day activities of the hotel establishment
  • supervise direct and indirect reports
  • perform supervisory responsibilities according to company policies, training programs, and applicable laws
  • plan, organize, and assign work as needed
  • develop and communicate strategies and goals
  • train and advise team on policies and procedures
  • responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and performance appraisals
  • Set performance expectations aligned with the General Manager Standard Operating Procedures manual
  • ensure ongoing communication within all departments
  • create an operations environment ensuring consistent guest satisfaction
  • monitor hotel performance through guest satisfaction tools and financial reports
  • communicate departmental goals clearly
  • Maintain product and service quality standards
  • investigate guest and employee complaints and provide resolution
  • develop long and short-term financial objectives aligned with company mission
  • prepare financial reports with analysis of operational effectiveness
  • Analyze market sales and trends
  • coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share
  • implement brand initiatives and communicate follow-up actions
  • identify key business success drivers and focus leadership on critical areas
  • Reinforce and maintain safety and cleanliness standards
  • assist with emergency and security procedures
  • promote safety practices
  • establish and monitor preventive maintenance
  • Develop sales and marketing strategies to boost top line revenue
  • support overall sales strategy
  • recommend actions to meet yield and penetration objectives
  • build community and public relations by participating and sponsoring local events
  • Perform additional tasks as necessary to exceed guest satisfaction
