Job Requirements
- Ability to monitor labor by anticipating business activity and ensuring staffing
- ability to serve guests through face-to-face verbal interactions
- demonstrate positive attitude and professional demeanor
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- complete alcohol awareness certification upon employment
- valid current Food Handlers Card or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- must obtain Serve Safe Certificate within 30 days
- willingness to work varying schedules including holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts
- clean appearance and professional demeanor
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management desired
- TABC certification completed prior to training
- 5 or more years of related and progressive food and beverage experience
- 3 years as a manager in a similar setting
Job Duties
- Embodies the shared values of Hotel Drover
- assist in providing guidance and direction to ensure overall departmental success
- manage, lead, develop and hold managers/supervisors accountable in all food and beverage areas within Hotel Drover
- responds to guest inquiries and coordinates special arrangements and requests
- maintain quality goals by following up on observations, reports, and guest comments
- respond effectively to internal audit reports and create action plans for improvement
- stay informed of regional, local, and national trends
- work effectively with the marketing team in developing food and beverage advertising and public relations
- participate in hiring by interviewing and selecting team members
- oversee training programs for all 97 West team members
- assist in achieving budgeted revenues, control expenses, maximize profitability
- hold all team members accountable and document accordingly
- assist in developing new menu ideas, wine list, pricing, and marketing programs
- ensure guests receive exceptional service by circulating through food and beverage areas
- seek to improve guest satisfaction and handle complaints promptly
- ensure dining, service, and kitchen areas are clean and properly set up
- maintain inventory of food, supplies and equipment and participate in inventories
- prepare and submit liquor and supply orders and ensure equipment maintenance
- ensure compliance with food handling, TABC, sanitation and health department guidelines
- follow safety policies and act immediately on safety issues
- create weekly schedules, manage payroll, process tip sheets and approve time away
- perform other duties as assigned
