Currently, HMC is seeking a General Manager for the Hotel deLuxe located in Portland, OR. This full-time role offers an annual salary of $110,000 and presents an exciting opportunity to lead a reputable hotel under the HMC umbrella. The General Manager is responsible for all aspects of hotel management, including overseeing guest relations, staff development, and operational compliance. Job Requirements
- General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience required
- Be able to manage time effectively, complete required tasks on time
- Ability to delegate authority effectively to subordinates
- Ability to recruit, select, and retain quality associates
- Ability to produce financial results in line with budgeted objectives and labor models
- Need to be a team player
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Stable work history
Job Qualifications
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel environment at the GM or AGM level
- Two- or four-year college degree preferred
- Supervisory experience
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data

- Ensure all guests are greeted and served in a friendly, attentive, and courteous manner
- Hire, train, coach, and develop a high-performing, service-oriented team across all departments

- Maintain property cleanliness, safety, and security for guests and associates
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork
- Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling, with availability on weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the hotel
