Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field
- Minimum 5 years of hotel management experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work long hours and adapt to operational demands
- Proficiency in computer applications including accounting software
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to upholding company policies and guest service standards
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel management
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Background in budgeting and financial analysis
- Knowledge of sales and marketing strategies
- Experience with employee training and development
- Understanding of safety and security protocols
- Competency in hotel operations and preventive maintenance
- Ability to use accounting software and Excel
- Familiarity with guest satisfaction metrics and recovery techniques
Job Duties
- Develop, administer, and control the hotel revenue and expense budgets
- Analyze profit and loss and general ledger statements
- Submit P&L variance reports in a timely manner
- Review and approve the hotel payroll
- Authorize direct bill accounts and monitor accounts receivable
- Provide direction and approve the hotel marketing plan
- Ensure proper selection, training, counseling, and motivation of hourly employees and management team
- Review all hourly personnel and management performance appraisals
- Ensure employee attitude anticipates guest needs
- Use the L.E.A.R.N model for guest recovery
- Monitor results of guest satisfaction scores and take corrective actions
- Respond and follow up on guest complaints
- Inspect guest rooms for cleanliness
- Develop and maintain quality assurance programs
- Ensure safety and security needs of employees and guests are met
- Participate in community and industry activities
- Attend brand business and marketing meetings
- Conduct regular staff and sales meetings
- Respond to corporate and ownership requests
- Evaluate employee engagement survey results
- Perform other tasks as assigned
