Job Requirements
- Must have minimum 5 years of management experience preferably in rooms and food and beverage
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations including marketing, safety programs, labor relations, business planning, repairs, and budget forecasting
- Ability to stand and move throughout hotel property continuously
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to adapt communication style to varied audiences
- Willingness to travel for corporate meetings and sales trips
- Commitment to comply with attendance and work schedules
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of management experience preferably in both rooms and food and beverage operations
- Knowledge of hotel operations including marketing plans, security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, business plan preparation, repairs, maintenance, budget forecasting, quality assurance programs, hospitality law, and long-range planning
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences such as supervisors, coworkers, and the public
- Ability to stand and move throughout the hotel property continuously performing essential job functions with or without accommodation
Job Duties
- Create and maintain a customer-driven hotel with a customer-keeping vision that inspires hotel associates
- Oversee quality processes to ensure customer satisfaction through consistent delivery of product quality and service
- Tour and visually inspect property daily to monitor condition, cleanliness, cost control, and quality
- Travel to corporate meetings, sales trips, and serve on committees like Research, Development and Standards
- Aid Human Resources with associate issues following company policies
- Interview, hire, train, recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide communication, and recommend discipline or termination
- Develop and delegate improvement plans for operations and review management team performance
- Participate in community affairs and maintain a positive public image
- Meet with clients to promote the hotel
- Engage actively in Sales and Revenue Management by following HEI Key Meeting SOPs, group site inspections, and review results from measurement tools
- Guide Executive Committee, Management, and staff in business decision-making
- Create and execute financial objectives of the hotel
- Comply with attendance rules and perform other job-related duties as assigned
