The General Manager role at Chipotle offers a unique opportunity to lead within a rapidly expanding company that is opening nearly a new restaurant every day. As a General Manager, you will be at the forefront of this growth, leading from the front by hiring and developing top talent, building a winning team culture, and managing restaurant operations to deliver excellence in every guest interaction. Operations management is a critical part of this position. You will handle scheduling, profit and loss (P&L) control, sales forecasting, and community engagement initiatives to drive sales and create meaningful connections with guests. The General Manager is also tasked with upholding stringent food safety, operational, and compliance standards, maintaining a clean and inviting dining space, and ensuring on-time and accurate digital order fulfillment. Leadership extends to working across lunch, dinner, and weekend shifts, ensuring consistent and effective coverage during all operational hours.

Job Duties

  • Manage the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, hiring, people processes, and performance management
  • Train and develop crew members, shift leaders, and apprentices using Chipotle’s training tools and resources
  • Direct team members to deliver accurate and on-time digital orders
  • Manage day-to-day restaurant operations including scheduling, P&L control, sales forecasting, and recruiting
  • Ensure the dining room is clean and the restaurant is guest-ready at all times
  • Uphold food safety, operational, and compliance standards
  • Be accountable for the financial success of the restaurant, achieving annual sales and cash flow plans
  • Work a schedule including lunch, dinner, and weekend shifts to provide leadership across all operational hours
