As a Restaurant Manager at Jimmy Johns, the individual will manage all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring the delivery of fast, accurate sandwiches combined with exceptional customer service. This role is crucial in overseeing staff management, including hiring, training, evaluating, and discipline, to build a capable and efficient team of approximately 3 to 20 employees. The manager is also responsible for operational logistics, such as ordering, inventory control, and minimizing losses due to waste or theft. This involves forecasting food consumption per shift, supervising food preparation and sales, managing deliveries, and implementing strategies to reduce costs—all while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The role demands strong leadership, accountability, and proactive problem-solving to meet budget expectations and enhance the restaurant's profitability.

Furthermore, the manager will maintain strict adherence to company systems and procedures, complete necessary paperwork, and conduct regular audit and maintenance tasks. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 2 years of restaurant management experience

Job Duties

  • Manages a staff of approximately 3 to 20 employees
  • assigns, oversees and evaluates work
  • manage hiring, training, evaluating, disciplining, and termination of employees
  • provides on-the-job training for new employees
  • work with employees to be more efficient to meet budget expectations
  • look for areas where we can decrease cost and discuss with Area Manager
  • holding yourself and your employees accountable when it comes to each person responsibility
  • delegates and is responsible for the ordering, receipt, storage and issuing of all food, labor, equipment, cleaning, and paper supplies for the unit to ensure a minimum loss from waste or theft
  • assists in the supervision of the preparation, sales, and service of food
  • forecasts food items
  • estimates what amount of each food item will be consumed per shift
  • supervises food preparation and service operations while on duty
  • assists shoppers during rush periods to ensure the maintenance of restaurant efficiency
  • ensures that every customer receives world-class customer service
  • routes deliveries and serves drivers to maximize delivery business and speed
  • completes daily food preparation including opening procedures, meat and vegetable slicing, bread production
  • executes systems and procedures with 100 percent integrity and completeness
  • completes daily and weekly paperwork
  • responsible for 100 percent of the cash drawers at all times during the shift
  • completes week ending paperwork
  • controls inventory by using a weekly inventory system and maintain regular inventory ordering schedules
  • receives and stores product
  • creates new ideas to discuss with Area Manager to increase sales and implementing them
  • conducts weekly managers meeting
  • audits systems and procedures as well as shift ending paperwork
  • completes preventive maintenance and upkeep on stores equipment and supplies
  • performs other related duties as required
