The role of General Manager 5 (Food - Schools) at Sodexo Education involves managing a substantial food and nutrition program tailored to K-12 school environments. This position requires a dynamic leader to oversee day-to-day operations of multiple school locations, ensuring high standards of food quality, service efficiency, and compliance with federal and state nutrition programs such as the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). The General Manager will work collaboratively within the client’s organizational structure, acting as a trusted advisor and key member of the leadership team to drive strategic direction and business growth.

The successful candidate will possess a valid driver’s license and a Bachelor’s degree, alongside at least four years of management experience specifically within school nutrition or related food service operations. Demonstrated success in managing labor and food cost controls is essential, along with a strong financial acumen to achieve targeted company and client goals. This role emphasizes a customer-centric approach, with a responsibility to enhance the student experience through creative menu design, marketing strategies, and a commitment to food quality and wellness. The General Manager must inspire and lead their management team effectively, fostering a positive work environment while ensuring all contract commitments with clients are fulfilled.
